I do not like walls. I hate walls. Even in our house I want as few walls as possible.
Walls are restricting us to move freely around, divide neighborhoods and communities, shrinks wildlife habitat.
There is nothing new in building walls to keep the “enemy” out, or restrict migration.
This is what the Chinese did almost 400 years ago, the Romans did almost 2,000 years ago, the Soviets did 50 years ago and now Mr. Trump wants to revive it at our Southern border in the name of “national security” to please his right wing base..
Luckily all of these ancient and 20th century walls are alive only in history books, however the Great Wall of China and Hadrian’s wall in Great Britain are still prime tourist attractions.
The walls and fences erected by the Soviets across Eastern Europe and in Berlin are existing only in the memories of many of us.
Do not forget: The Wall is restricting movement in both direction: not just to come in, but also to go out. It is a shame to divide two nations from each other and disrupt nature with an ugly wall.It punishes the innocent population at both side of the wall much more than solving illegal immigration. Several of the neighboring towns - at both side of the fence - have century old traditions living peacefully next to each other, interacting on a daily basis with relatives, friends or trade.
A wall is ending all of this.
Building a wall in the 21st century at the Southern border of the wealthiest nation on Earth and not to find a better solution for solving immigration issues?t sounds like a bad science fiction movie than reality.
We do not need and do not want the wall!We need a smart legislation which should solve the justified and much needed seasonal work force's legal entry and an efficient border patrol system which is capable of dealing with the asylum applicants and other migrants on a human and dignified way.
The billions of dollars what we already spent (and probably will spend in the future as well) to fences and wall building should have gone rather to border manpower, border facilities and border surveillance and not to iron and concrete walls!A wall is ending all of this.

Mr.Trump!
“Tear down this wall!”
